Diamond cut wheels spraying

Does anyone have any experience of spraying their own diamond cut alloys, my 2015 gtd has them, I like the finish but I would rather them be gloss black like the rest of the rim.

I am going to attempt it myself but looking for some advice as I am struggling to find any online, can I just sand down the front face and colour match that with the rest of the rim? Or do I need to sand down the whole thing?

Can you just hand sand it with wet and dry? Or do I need to machine sand it?

When i spray it, does it need priming, spraying and laquering? Sorry if the questions are a bit noddy, I am a novice, only sprayed a few bits of plastic trim before.
