Wheel Detailing - cry for help!

First post, need some help if you'd all be so kind

I regularly clean the 17" M-Sport rims on my 3 series but they're quite deep dish and I appear to have some welded on brake dust...

The lighter stuff comes off with a suitable wheel cleaner but around the spokes and in the 'dish' part I have what look like pock-marks of black dust that feel like sandpaper.

I've tried polishing, Wonder Wheels, Mer, Autoglym, everything!
