best high build primer to go over everything?

Finally getting around to the final stages of 'thinking' about the paintwork of my restoration project.At the moment i have a car sitting in front of me with a mixture of brand new panels(in the black protective coating as you buy them)couple of panels with original 'keyed' bodywork and some panels showing flattened filler,original paint and small bare metal patches.So,question is what is the best,read easiest idiot proof high build primer that will go over the whole car to give me a good surface for me to flatten and paint?I emphasis the phrase 'idiot proof' once more!I painted the whole of a couple of my mates cars in the past with spray tins(i kid you not)and i have to say i done a cracking job so i'm really looking forward to doing this with the correct spray gear etc.I'll be doing it in 2K by the way.Any other general advice will be greatly appreciated too!Thanks!
