First time I've watched Withnail and I sober and wondered if the grey Mk2 still exists. There are some characterful scars on the monocled wonder back in 1987. It may be a show queen now, but how wonderful if it still runs in its film state.

Registration 405 SBH.

Might as well start with a favourite line too: "We've gone on holiday by mistake"

Seems as though Monty's Rolls enjoyed better fortunes. This link has a picture of it at Goodwood in 2011.

Not sure about Mk2s being scrapped late 80s. I remember them being quite sought after during the boom. Having said that, the 2.4s always seemed to have a bad press.

Don't threaten me with a dead fish.

Just searched for a screen shot and found this:

and Bonhams recnetly sold the aston for £241k..

"....Until recently the car belonged to film director Bruce Robinson, its owner for 25-or-so years, best known for his cult comedy classic, Withnail & I. The latter starred Richard E Grant and Paul McGann as the eponymous duo and also featured the Aston, which appears in the background in a street scene...."

Sorry for the thread creep
Brilliant. Reminds me of the Italian Job DB4. Oops perhaps another thread?

There must 20,000 sheep up there on those volcanoes. We've got a plate full of carrots.
