Jacking pad - good idea
Discussion
Thought I'd share something I found on eBay and decided for the sake of £6 it was worth a go.
Having just carefully de-rusted the underside of my car and then treated and undersealed I was looking for something to stop my hydraulic jack scraping the pristine new coating and undoing my good work off every time I wanted to work on the car.

I've got a an MX5 with an old school metal seam on the edge of the sills which is where the usual jacking point for the scissor jack is, so this works well for that, but for a bit more security I often use the chassis rails as a jacking point and it just gives enough cushion to protect the underseal coating.
