Can anyone please help many years ago a very close retired Freind bought a new lotus sunbeam reg no DAC77Y I've hav looked on dvla web site and it has been sorned and no mot since 2014 he would really like to know of it condition etc. Does anyone know on here of its existence
Any help would be appreciated.

Update from mike today he lived in skipton North Yorkshire when he bought the car,he kept it for around 4 years before selling it to a young guy in skipton (£4000) he modified it and let mike have ago in it,then at some point it had a problem and set fire,as far as mike knows it then went south but he never heard of it again..

Omg...in 1977 I worked in the parts dept of a Vauxhall and talbot dealer we had new lotus sunbeams and chevette 2300s I was lucky enough to buy a hillman hunter gals the webers started to leak fuel onto the exh manifold,guess what it set alight but no damage

Yes my hunter had nothing between the carbs and exhaust so I made an alloy samwich plate for mine(wish I still had it never seen one in years)
