Not sure how the jeep went on...the detail for example included a length of bullets draped across the gun mounted in the middle.

From memory it was done by a guy who restores classic F1 cars and he does this outside of that. I looked at the 2CV van he also did and that was just superb. Little Michelin man on the top and a rack of Michelin tyres in the back. That went for just underneath estimate £13k ish

Bentley went for £750k or it may have been £760k...add on the buyers charge +£100k.

Those prices are the hammer price and then the 12.5% commission on top. Not sure if they also then apply vat to the commission part ?

In our case it was a hammer price of £68k and its marked down as sold at £76,500...lot 49. Some things went well over....like the MGR V8...lot 77

Selling lot 49.

Doing the maths...hammer price plus 15% is basically what most buyers are paying. If your limited company etc then the vat is not an issue.

I quite liked the Bentley lot 8 for £20k...11 stamps full Bentley history.

Actually its the father-in-laws but I'm the family car nut so it came my way to sell. I had it in the garage for a couple of weeks and it was nice to experience the ownership but It left too many oil marks on my drive...soot marks on the garage door smile
