Motor show photos of the 80's.
Discussion
I have setup a group for sharing photos of 80's Motorshows.
My particular interest is Ferrari and BMW but I'd love to see any others people are willing to share.

I'd love to see a photo of the red Alfa Romeo Spider at Earls Court Motorfair in 1987...that was the star of the show for me at the time...even though it was 20 years into production at the time..
Alfa stands were always very stylish and they handed the brochures out like water which was good news for my 10 year old self Mr Tidy said:
I went to Earls Court most years from about 1967 until the Motor Show moved to the NEC.
My sister bought me this book a couple of years ago - a real trip down nostalgia lane!

No, sadly most of the photos are black and white, and mainly earlier than that. Quite a chunk of the first part of the book is about the construction of Earls Court, and comparisons with Olympia.
But there are a few great celeb photos, like John Lennon in an Iso Rivolta, Peter Sellers and Britt Ekland with a Ferrari, Sid James in a Rover 2000 and Diana Rigg sitting on a Lotus Elan that are pure nostalgia!
And some nightmares, like an XJS on the same stand as an Allegro - thank you BL.
It's only 125 pages, but for someone who went most years while I was still at school it's great to dip into for a bit of nostalgia.
And I have some great memories of my Dad taking me there, especially that first time when I was still at primary school, which are particularly poignant as he passed away in 1988.
