This yellow estate car features thoughout the BBC/Netflix TV Mini-Series, 'The Serpent'. Set in Thailand, I don't think this would have been a car imported into the UK, but what is it? Interior shots show a bench seat:

Pretty isn't it? At least compared with the usual Japanese monsters of the era, could pass for Italian. A Fiat or similar.

Yup, don't think they ever did estates, but I had it down for a Lancia, Alfa or summint... and that grill is very Jensen Interceptor.

The BBC must be slipping? Enjoyed the Serpent, made 'old skool' such that I was unable to detect a political agenda? Dear me, what is the world coming to?

Done a bit of digging, seems it's a rare beast. Doubtful there's too many surviving in the UK. The world bought the Cortina, and Hillman Hunters - not this. Comments seem to align with mine in that it'd pass for something European.

It's pretty, unusual, quite humble without being vanilla, and not the predictable choice. I want one.

Not sure the saloon works so well, but that'll be me, and my thing for estates.

Yes, remove the clumsy Jap rims, mirrors and chrome-strip, and it'd definitely pass for a Lancia or Alfa.

Thanks to all of you for nailing this one.
