Classic Minis, London to Brighton 2022
Discussion
I had no idea this event was going to start 3 miles from my house , I saw a sign directing the cars on a road 1 mile from my house yesterday , so looked it up and went back down there this morning and watched for 2 hours as many many cars passed
by .
I have many many pics ,not a single 1 of a BMW Mini ,I needed to save memory card space for the old cars .
This will take all night to post ,my internet and lap top are painfully slow .
If you think some of these are poor quality , the pics I rejected are worse !

Great pics
Thanks , my new fave pics are the first with the long line of near identical green cars .I tried to capture all the unusual types , estates , vans ,pickups , customs , kit cars , missed a pair of Mini Marcoses
travelling together , Innocentis , there was plenty of European registered cars , saw Belgian , German and Dutch ,
there may have been others .
There was a whole line of Mokes too ,pics to come yet .
Full size version of a Matchbox car I believe .
I need more encouragement and enthusiasm to finish this .

I'd have also sat there and watched that lot too, even though I'm more an Imp fan.
Just joy and fun, something that's been missing for the last couple crap years.
ps
Your remark about 'not a single BMW Mini' is wrong though, I've spotted several in your pics!

I was hoping for a 3 abreast round the large roundabout but why would anyone do that on an unfamiliar road ?

Great pics. This is me giving you a wave Good fun event, just a shame that most of the day was wet down in Brighton which puts a damper on activities don there. I still managed 2nd in the show and shine though
and lastly
this and 2 others spotted at the other end of the mad mile whilst walking home , seem to be doing their own thing not
on the prescribed run route ....
Every picture posted .less the rejects .
Cars were passing from just before 8am until about 10am .
I managed to salvage 2 car flags that didn't make it further than 2 miles from the start ,must have been many more strewn over Surrey and West Sussex on the drive down .
As I mentioned earlier , I am very grateful to all those that acknowledged the sad photographer at the roundabout , it lessened the depression being suffered ,for just a short while .
