Went onto the Gouv.Fr website this morning to apply for the new Titres de Sejour which we will all need to find that due to the Corona Virus pandemic the opening date has been put back to 1st October.

Ditto, ours are about the same age although we originally had them back in 2002. Like you I can see the whole system getting bogged down too which is why I went for it at 00h01 this morning. Still can't make up our minds about going for the citizenship bit, probably will in the end.

Update on the application process for new Titre de Sejour 'Withdrawal Agreement'.

The opening date for this was delayed as I'm sure you all know, to 1st October. I have made no progress with my application as the online application system does not work. I have spoken to the British Embassy in Paris and they say that the process has been delayed by the French Government yet again. They were not able to say why, nor when it will be up and running but will inform everyone registered with them for online news bulletins via that medium.

Still waiting for call up to collect ours however, a friend collected hers yesterday and was told that people are not turning up for the appointments given in the email sent to them, apparently five on that one day alone. It seems that the emails are being sent not from 'Prefecture' or 'Gouv.etranger' or anything that you would know or recognise but from unknown individuals, in consequence many are simply being deleted unread, as spam. Check your spam box as you may find something of interest there. Second thing, there are two rumours doing the rounds at the moment, one says that new arrivals who have not had a TdS before are being dealt with first and the second says the order of call up is completely random. I emailed our Prefecture at the beginning of April to ask if there was any progress, the automated reply said I would be contacted within either two or five days depending on how much research was needed to answer the question but predictably I have heard nothing.

At last we have dates for our new Cartes de Sejour RDV, almost 8 months to the day from the application. Will be pleased to have that in my pocket in place of the old one, I expect it will see me out!!

Progress at last! Had our RDVs yesterday, cards should arrive in the post in three to four weeks apparently.

A slightly unhappy tale from our visit. The security guard on the door asked if we had a sense of humour and then took us outside to the notice which carries all the info about the Prefecture's garden opening to the public for one day each summer. The info is printed in several languages but not English so the security guard had taken it on himself to tape a translation into English onto the board complete with a little Union Flag. Three times he has taped his translation to the notice board and three times it has been torn off in the night by persons unknown. Not Good.

And finally we have our new TdS 'Article 50', they arrived yesterday. I recall that at one point there was some debate about how long they would be valid for so I'm pleased to see they are for the full ten years.
