I'm in the early planning stages of getting my Speed Six ITBs refurbished with sealed bearings etc but as I'm planning to do the removal and refit myself, I need to be able to balance the ITBs once I receive them back from the refurb. For those of you who have done this (balanced your ITBs), is this a suitable synchrometer?

Item Description said:
This is a new carburettor synchrometer SK type part number for accurate balancing of multiple Weber or Dellorto carburettors. It is made in Germany & unlike many balancers will not restrict the airflow when put into the rampipe & therefore give a false reading. Instructions are supplied. The tappered rubber insert is from 40mm to 55mm. The body is hardened plastic not metal.

Cheers for confirming Tommy - I'll get one on order. I've been reading back through old threads on synchronising them as well - advice on using a feeler gauge is appreciated! wavey

Cheers! Where would I get new springs from? I take it they are quite specific but are they a 'common' part?

Is it these you mean? https://partsfortvrs.com/tvr-parts/part-details/tv...

+1 on getting new springs. Having set up one or two sets of these, I've found that if you actually manage not to lose them when removing them, you will find they have gone weak and struggle to keep the linkages in check. Less than £10 a set delivered from Parts for Tvrs IIRC.
Cheers Andy!!
PfTVRs are £2.26 inc VAT each but have a ridiculous £8.95 P&P - adding 5 to my basket gives:
