Just popped into RG today and saw Pascal's Swordfish Tusc. The engine is in the car, and the Rotrex has been fitted.

It won't be running until next week but I thought that I would just post a quick update, and stir up Pascal who must be really chomping at the bit! Not too long now mate.

The fitment looks good; it took me a few seconds to realise what I was looking at because it just looks like it should be there. There is no hint of after-thought about the installation which just looks very professional.

I'm not in the least bit jealous. Not at all.

Off to London for TiTT4 tomorrow, so I may or may not be around when you are at RG. Not sure what time we are leaving yet - what's your ETA?

Yep - some nice spiritual things in these Isle, which are unfortunately both habit and headache forming frown

Little Belgian friend?

Do you actually KNOW Pascal? I wouldn't want to upset him..... Jean Claude Van Buyens.

Erm, not about his stature. Just about the somewhat piss-take nature of the term Little Belgian friend. And no - I still wouldn't upset him.

And I would imagine that Pascal is delighted with what he has - as most people would be too.

Based on the RG designed engine, it has all the refinements and improvements that no other company seems to have had the courage or comittment to develop. It is a fabulous piece of work, looks great, sounds amazing - and will go like stink when it is run in and mapped.

Awesome piece of kit, and RG should be applauded. And the length of the lifecycle of the development is pretty good too.

AS for 4.5litres? Well done - slap on the back. Perhaps you should start a thread on it?

I see the mapping as the difficult part.
Dunno enough about the technologogy and engineering to understand the pitfalls, but I've been up and spoken to Richard at Omex (I swung in and had a nose around on the way back from the NEC) and he see's no problems.

He has some interesting S/C'd pieces of kit that he's getting nice figures from so I don't think it's BS.

Tee hee; he has a mad 400bhp Morris 1000 I rather like, and a more sensible 200bhp Morris Traveller that I'm thinking about stealing smile

Let it go, man.

If you have a good product it will sell itself. Neither RG nor Pascal could give a st about your 4.5ltr. It's not on their horizon

You're simply coming across as having self esteem issues, being worried about RG's developments. I for one would be concerned about doing business with you on the basis of these posts.

All IMHO.

When I was in sales, I was taught to never stoop so low as to knock a oompetitor or their products. It smacks of unprofessionalism. I think that RG's silence is laudable, and their refusal to get dragged into this sort of thing speaks volumes about how professional they are.

Again, all IMHO.

Actually, I am chilled. But re-reading this I can see how you might have thought I wasn't. I guess it's just a bit of harmless fun. As Dom says, "Barter", although I think he means banter, or badinage.

Any-hoo, in that vein.

Hey Dom, you must have damned turtle heads mate? wink Bet you are cacking yourself. When Pascal posts those figures for his S/C FFF.... Whooeee. bounceAnd so soon? Blimey, you're waaaay behind.loser

When will your S/C one be ready? Another 12 months? Man you'll have missed the boat.... Still, you can squeeze a few more ccs out of that design before you have to be creative. 4.3, 4.5, reckon you can get 4.7...whistle? Before it goes smash

Just a bit of Barter biggrin

I failed miserably, but Dom was going to try to organise some sort of comparison track day. Probably more meaningful than numbers.

But yeah, using an indie would be good for that comparison.

Dunno what mine will make, but I'll post the figures when I get around to it. 6 or more weeks without being able to drive so probably not until some time in March/April I guess.
