Hi folks, hoping to replace my old kenwood in my 944 with a modern Bluetooth USB thing....pulled the old stereo out and broke the fm antenna....have stripped it back and bought a new £1 antenna adaptor but can't figure out what I need to do....any help please?

Don't think that will go in the back of a car stereo will it? Needs to have a pointy end

THats what I thought, but how do you connect them both, the plastic coating surrounding the thin wire won't fit in the tube of the connector.....I'm stumped

Would I be better with one of these to grip the outer cable?

But even then the thin metal bit won't stay inside the adapter....I somehow need to make the cable and adapter stick together

I see, starting to make sense now.....in that case what is the usual method of connecting up coaxial wire to a car stereo fm socket?
Cheers
