I regularly hear people recommending Waze app.

Have tried it a couple of times over the years but can't really get on with it. Am I missing something?

The map itself isn't particulally pretty of smart looking. It's almost cartoon like, much like the silly character icons you see which are other users.
The thing that really got me though was the whole thing is based on it being 'social' and people sharing information on their phones.

Surely pissing about with your phone whilst driving is not a good thing.

I think I tried it once. It's wasn't even a single tap, it required several inputs to say exactly what sort of issue was causing the problem.
Seemed a real faff never mind dangerous.

Has it changed or does it still require you to play with your phone whilst driving?
Google maps Navigation is really excellent these days, it would have to be a good offering to get me to change from that or Co-Pilot.

My main concern is having to use your phone whilst driving.

I've yet to hear any fans say there is another way, so I can only assume that is what is required.

Big benefit is the 'live' data on traffic and camera vans but I imagine in the near future both be less of an issue. SPECS for the first and car to car data for the 2nd. Regardless, Camara vans are usually only in place for a short period of time, certainly in this area anyway. Not sure the Waze data would be of benefit.

You don't have to use your phone while driving. Set your destination, select a route, drive. That's it.

Sorry, but I don't think you understand how to use the app.
That's my point!

Would it work effectively if everyone did the above?
