Hi folks ,,

A friend of mine has recently bought a v,v nice Ferrari 488 and I noticed a very nice feature, well its got a lot of nice features but this particular one looked really useful.
It has a trickle charging point at the rear of the car which connects via a magnetic contact. Similar to the mob phone air chargers.

I wondered if it would be possible to have something similar fitted to my 'lowly' Ftype. Any car which gets left for lengthy periods tends to drain its battery and its a real nuisance having to connect a charger to the battery terminals .

I've looked for anything similar on the internet but with no luck !

Anyone know of a product like this ? or what the likely problems of fitting a charging point would be ? The battery is located in the boot which has to help.

Thanks, Dave

It is the magnetic connection that is v appealing. Nice and neat and if you drive away forgetting the charger is connected no harm done.

Prehaps this is unique to Ferrari .

That’s got to be retrofit, surely?
standard stuff I think and it has a very flash Ferrari smart charger to go with it.

YES ! Something just like that . Thanks .
I spent ages looking last night .

That looks like it will do the job , wired straight to battery via a 5 amp fuse ?

Who needs a Ferrari 😁

Only connected when the car is in the garage so always dry . It’s easier to connect with cable upwards but point taken .

Shucks ! thanks guys, the tow eye cover was a perfect position , And thankyou Squishy for finding the magnetic connector .

I have had Tvrs for many years and always kept them on charge via the lighter socket which remains live when the ignition is off. Its a bind having to thread the wire through the door though so one of these would be a great addition.
I'll pass the info on to the Tvr ranks.
