Hi guys, I am buying a (OK, OK, I know) little Suzuki Celerio as a small car runaround for work as my Insignia can't access the basement car park, it is too tight a turn for large cars.

So, if I remove the stereo to add speakers etc... I have to input the radio code for it to work again after refitting. If I buy an aftermarket head unit e.g. a Blaupunkt CD, MP3 Bluetooth head unit (or similar), will this need the code to start working as the factory fitted unit does?

I appreciate I will need a head unit fascia panel to fit it and maybe a harness adaptor, its just the code thing that is bugging me. Or does an aftermarket head unit not require this security code to work, just the Suzuki stereo needs it?

Many thanks to any advice replies

I bought he SZ3 Celerio instead of the SZ2 model so the head unit is fine, bluetooth built in.

It is fitted with a standard audio Head Unit (Panasonic Bluetooth PA84M6) and original crappy door speakers, that buzz and vibrate at the first whiff of bass. So I want to upgrade the speakers.

Using the F-R fader on the stereo, there is only sound from the front door speakers, not from the rear, so I guess it doesn't have rear door speakers fitted or they have been disconnected?

Before I go taking door panels off, carpets up and the head unit out can anyone answer these questions please?

1. Do all models of the same vehicle have the same loom so if no rear speakers are fitted, it would still have the wiring in place for cars that owners retrofit/higher models can have them, rather than have different looms?

2. I cannot find any wiring diagram etc for the head unit online. Can anyone shed any light on what each socket is etc... on the back of the head unit? This is my head unit model picture below of the rear from Google. It is for that model.

Many thanks, I know it's a long shot as this is not a Celerio forum but I cannot find one so thought other Suzuki minded folks may be able to help?

Cheers Defblade, I know in the past that wiring was usually similar across a models range so it is easier when building. I am hoping the wires are under the carpet or in the door pillar. As the SZ4 apparently has rear speakers I would presume the HU is wired inside for them on mine as the HU is the same model on both cars (fingers crossed)
It is a great little car I bought for work, currently averages 58+mpg and zero roadtax fee. But no support anywhere online. Suzuki Forums dont even have the model on them (apart from the models in India) and Haynes don't do a manual, no online wiring diagrams, even Suzuki website doesnt list anything under the VIN No. So any "generic help" on here is 100% welcome

thanks mate
