If your car starts sliding in the snow...hit the brakes hard!

The friction from the brakes will cause the snow to melt allowing you to safely stop.

Is this really what social media was designed for?

what friction? smile
if the snow is below your tyres, then heat in the brakes area won't be melting that snow
if you have snow as high as your brakes, you are probably stuck anyway - and therefore not sliding wink
if you are sliding there is no friction between tyre and road, so no heat generated there either

yes, social media is for the inane comment - perfectly suited biggrin
Can you imagine the insurance claim.....well I started sliding so I just "Hit the brakes hard" Not sure why the snow didnt melt though so I hit the vehicle.

I wonder where ABS would feature in all of this??
