Men and overtaking
Discussion
Serious question.
How many men can accept being overtaken? Does it matter if the overtaker is male or female, younger or older, driving a 'better' or 'inferior' car?
I have had several instances when I have overtaken someone and their reaction from the 'overtake' was to accelerate or flash headlights / wave arms / sound horn.
I'm female, driving a VW Golf (and on occasions a Porsche 914). I don't think I'm pushy or cheeky, just driving reasonably carefully but 'not slow'.
I'm interested - is being overtaken something that most men can't accept?

I'm more intrigued by their motives in this case...
My motives? I was interested to hear people's opinions and comments on the subject, having had several quite odd / unhappy reactions to my overtaking men. And - it is nice to see Vonhosen is still around. He and Derek Smith talk lots and lots of sense.
