5.0 with TA Heads, why are so few people using them in the UK?

The camshaft is a roller design It is 596 lift in and ex

258 degrees at 50 duration

Pulls from 3000rpm strong to 7200

A 630 roller cam is available with same duration and picked up 20hp and 15ftlbs across the range

Alan,

No the cam doesn't hit the crank.

The latest engine has 697 lift with 3.625 stroke revs to 8000rpm with 577hp Tuscan has over 500hp at the rear wheels and y,es we use only rover blocks.

Surely a pain collecting the groceries.

Hi Alan,

My car is in dry secure storage in bucks.

I'm flying back to the UK soon and plan on visiting Topcats a local TVR shop and discuss continuing work on my car. Complete the chassis build, mount the body and install the EPS. That will be affordable I hope until I save up further funds.

You're out that way. Any other shops worth looking at?

I'd also like to hear more from our 500+ bhp friends in this thread.

topcats are good. they know exactly what they are doing. their work is always immaculate.
Thanks for the recommendation Jes,

I'll have to get them to come look at my rolling chassis for some ballpark work costs as I cannot afford to overstep my funds for the next step in completing the build.

Thanks.

Rover 5.0 . TA heads. 10.5 comp, pump fuel, race / rally solid roller.

This is my engine bed in graph and check all safe to get some miles on it, semi slicks were spinning on rollers 11% so actual figure on day be around 300rwkw with road tyres. Injectors were at 97% duty at 5250.
lost traction where it falls over.
Sorting ignition and fuel system, look fed to returning to add timing and take to 7500rpm.
Tarmac,

Find yourself a hub dyno next time :-)

Nice figures nevertheless.
