I have an engineless project that is nowhere near commencing, so I have a lot of time to think about an engine.. I am NOT at all interested in an LS whatsoever. They're not smooth and sound like simultaneous farts and burps, really every USDM engine I've driven feels like a shaking a trash can full of bricks. And although I do like that revvy, snarling TVR AJP8, I'm not sure I wanna deal with the maintenance of it (especially because I'm not in Europe). I currently have a 2018 Land Rover V8 and quite like the engine in it. For those who don't know, it's a Jaguar V8. The motor feels nice, UK pride, reliable, better price to LS, has a 6 speed manual, and in supercharged form has 550HP! So why is the LS everyone's go-to?

It's a crashed Tuscan that will need a TON of work... chassis will get cut up anyway so my mind is just going wild day-dreaming ideas. I was actually originally looking at AM V12 as it's only 2X the price of the Jag setup. Like I said, nowhere near commencing any time soon, just day-dreaming.

ACTUALLY, I've decided to use a Jag i6 with a tremec for the time being... I haven't used a manual in some years and the Jag AJ16 has a nice sound/feel to it and a cheap motor to use while i get reacquainted with manual trans. In the meantime, I plan to build/tune an Aston Martin V12 on the side for the next few years to swap in later (an AM V12 is way too expensive to blow up re-learning manual)
