New Volvo V60 Launched!
Discussion
Since pistonheads seem to not be able to announce any new car unless it’s sold by VAG, Volvo have just launched the new v60, which to my eyes is stunning. It just looks right from every angle, how anyone could walk past it and buy a melted c class or a swagline a thon 3 series is beyond me.
2 hybrids in the line up too, and thank god, the option to have a light coloured interior!

For many the thought of only 2 litres and 4 pot is usually the start of the problem.
The VEA engine is impressive, but even in our Polestar V60 it can sound a bit naff at higher load.
Can’t be that many though, how many people really opt for a 340 over the 320? Certainly can’t be many these days. especially company car tax payers. The VEA engine is impressive, but even in our Polestar V60 it can sound a bit naff at higher load.

Excluding the soon top be replaced V40, Volvo now has the best looking range of cars of all mass market manufacturers.
Anyone disagree?
Nope they are all utterly fantastic, I love the low wide bonnet and how unchintzy theu are, the last s60/v60 was also a looker too, Mazda aren’t far behind either! Anyone disagree?

Given that they're looking to move towards the end of a diesel range and a focus on hybrid and petrol models, I doubt they see sense in spending more on refining diesel technology.
Volvo have a stunning design at the moment. Easily the best looking cars in the segment. They make Audi and BMW look positively naff.
I really love the Volvo and I think the current gen A4 is a good looking machine too, a few too many slashes but I like the angular shapes. The 3 on the other hand is a mess. And the c class is a blob. Volvo have a stunning design at the moment. Easily the best looking cars in the segment. They make Audi and BMW look positively naff.
Fusion red, with the blond interior and a t8 engine
Just a update
The new s60, will launch in Europe with no Diesel engine! Petrol and hybrid only, with Volvo dropping diesels rather quickly by the looks of it

Had the pleasure of sitting in a few new volvos today at the ocean race in Cardiff bay
My word. Why the hell would anyone buy any BMW, Mercedes or Audi over a Volvo.
So beautiful inside and out, light and airy interior. The most comftable massaging seats I’ve ever sat in, beautify crafted with light leather and lovely wood inlays, all the kit you could ever want, so much safety tech and just so relaxing to be inside. The b&w stereo is like nothing I’ve ever heard in a car
Utterly brilliant

Anyone had a proper look at one yet?
I didn’t get to drive it at the ocean race but I did sit in it for a good 25 minsAnyone had a proper look at one yet?
The touch screen is very easy to use, the fastest I’ve used and miles ahead of a jag XE. I don’t really like touch screens but this one was nice. Although I agree with above comments about temperature etc. I would prefer a button.
The dials where clear and crisp, again virtual allowing customisation,
The car I was in had a option B&W radio which was amazing, the best in car radio I’ve ever heard
The seats where so comftable and the massage is really strong and adjustable, the seats has plenty of adjustment in them
All the materials felt very screwed together, almost identical to the 90 Range, apart from the sun visors which where plastic on the v60 and leather on the v90
The boot was big, flat and the seats in the back folded flat,
My favourite thing though, along with the pano sunroof was the ability to have a car with a light coloured interior, the blond leather is stunning close up, and was heated and cooled
