Did you manage to get a test drive in a T5?

All the cars in my local dealers to test were D4s and I was really underwhelmed with them coming from an Octavia VRS Diesel.

So much so (and so few other deals available) I think I might be buying a car...
I also only got to test a D4... they couldn't even offer a T5 in any other model to test. I found the D4 quick enough for normal use, and the T5 has a fair bit more power so should be fine.

The only poor thing was the autobox, it is sluggish, but it really isn't a performance car so I'm not too worried. That's what the Cayman is for anyway driving

Also my first ever new car, will be nice.

Regarding spec, I was happy with the fabric seats, and to keep it at such a bargain price I went with no options other then the free metallic paint. I was only
tempted to add the winter pack.

The Volvo On Call feature seems amazing, will be so nice in the winter to warm the car up before my commute using the app.

So nice that it has so many things as standard... auto LED headlights, powerfold mirrors, On Call, power tailgate, and the awesome looking Sensus connect.

I'm looking at these now, I'm presuming you have to have a Santander bank account to qualify for these deals?
The T5 looks a great deal but I like to try the car before buying but my local dealer reckoned end October before they get a petrol model.
However as it will be shared with the mrs I doubt it matters too much, the figures look decent enough.
I don't have a Santander account, and was never asked during the order process. I gather you can open a current account pretty quickly if they do ask you.

Waiting for a V90 here

Account opened online Sunday and approved immediately. Passwords and card drip fed through the mail all week.

Car ordered Monday and existing bank account used for credit check only. When car is approaching delivery they will ask for my Santander details for direct debit.

But baso if you wing it you can open a 1/2/3 Lite account in minutes if/when needed

Cheers
That's strange, I setup my direct debit at the time of ordering with a Natwest account. Just had an update that my delivery is due start of October!

V60 Momentum T5, denim blue with City Weave (plaid) interior. 1+17, £273/mo, 8k miles/year.

Not entirely sure why bomster's seems to be £20/month less though

I think I must have had a stroke.. I was convinced it was £253, but just checked my paperwork and it is indeed £273, doh! Still a bargain though.

Yeah this is why I'd like to see some sort of contract, or at least some kind of order confirmation?

All I have to go off is the quote, then after that everything was done over the phone... same for everyone else?

I now have an email quote for 8k miles @ £253 per month. Going to order that, seems a good deal.
Brilliant deal, so much car for the money.

Santander say if I want the car at £253 instead of £273, they'd have to do the credit application again. Not sure yet if it would affect my lead time but I presume not if the car is already on order.
Did they state a reason for the cheaper price? Surely it was already selling like hot cakes at £273.

Does anyone know the service schedule and will one be needed in the 18month leases?
Looks like it will be due a service at 1 year.... £329 (adds another £20 a month amortised)

I wasn't expecting that, but still happy with the price overall.

Has anyone driven one yet or even received their car?

Just started the ordering process this week (fusion red momentum T5 with city weave) and have read many of the (pretty much universally positive) reviews, but not found any reviews by normal customers yet.
I'm also interested to hear some 'real world' reviews, specifically on how the T5 lump performs.

Been looking at xc40 t5 reviews this evening (as far as I can tell it comes with the same GPF fitted engine) and it seems performance is decent and it's quiet, but the economy doesn't look amazing (hopefully the v60 will be a bit better with better aero and slightly lower mass)
Isn't the XC40 also 4WD?

Anyone moved to the next stage of the ordering/delivery process?

My delivery has been pushed back to 'early November'. Pushed them for a delivery date (or even week) but they couldn't give me that.

Not sure how much longer my gf's 1999 VW lupo can hold on for!

Hurrah. Just had email that my T5 Momentum in savile grey has arrived a month early. I don't know how long the dealers take to prep but hopefully collecting very soon.
Great news! Which date did you order out of interest?

I ordered the 20th August, so by that logic I should be getting mine a week later that you!

So have Santander sent you additional paperwork to sign etc?

I used my Nat West account for credit check but I do have a 123 savings account. I'll see if it says anything in the document pack when it arrives for the monthly DD . Will let you know if it insists on 123 for the payments. It's easy enough to open one if necessary anyway.
This information would be really helpful for quite a few of us. Thanks.

Document pack arrived. Car at dealership ready for collection when docs returned. Have registration number and vin number. 3 sets of docs to sign, one to keep, two sets to return. DD mandate pre filled in with my nat west account. No mention of 123 account. Photocopy of drivers license or passport needed to send to.
All returned now. Shouldn't be long before collection. Just have to arrange insurance.
Nice! Look forward to some pics, but even more so, your thoughts on the T5 engine!
