Hi all. Hoping for someone with some technical knowledge of the heated windscreen washers, which come as part of the winter pack. In the recent cold weather my washers don’t appear to be unfreezing, making me wonder if the system is not working. I can’t find a fuse reference for the heated jets in the handbook. I’ve opened the cover over the coolant filler by the plenum to expose the two plugs for the washer heaters and tried a multimeter looking fo 12V on each of the four wires (two per plug) and found only millivolts when checking either between the two terminals in each plug, or between the terminals and ground. I tried this test with the engine running and with the heated screen on, all with no 12V detected.

My questions are these:
  1. Does anyone know which fuse supplies the heated washer jets? They must be bundled with something else as no circuit will be unfused
  2. Does anyone know when the washers should be heated? What turns them on? To make sure it wasn’t ambient temperature I tested them today, when the temp outside was about 0 deg C
  3. Anybody have any other ideas why the washer heaters might not be working? There’s nothing in the main settings menus and all other electrical systems appear to be working OK, including the other two parts of the winter pack (heated screen; heated steering wheel)
Obviously on the latest V60’s the screen washers feed up the wiper arms and through the blades and don’t spray from jets in the the plenum like older Volvos. Any help or ideas welcome

To be honest I didn't think the rear washer was heated, just the front screen.
