I'm literally just waiting at the local dealership on the retrofit Polestar upgrade now on my XC90 T8
It was in for some warranty work (bizarrely there was some bubbling under the trim on the passenger door since it was delivered last year, and I've just got round to having it sorted) and the Polestar upgrade was a bit of an impulse buy
Volvo offer a 14 day money back guarantee on the software patch so it seemed a good idea to give it a go. I hope I can notice the difference!
@OP - I charge solely on a three pin standard plug and it takes 6 hours or so - it just goes on as soon as I'm home and stays plugged in whenever it's on the drive. I'm coming up to a year in too so according to the app I should have a refund for the electricity of £216 . I just leave it in hybrid and let the car do it's thing - it always biases to electric so if you're doing an urban school run generally the engine wouldn't kick in at all (unless it's really cold, or you hoofed it for example).
I'm coming up to 21k over the last 10 months and average 37.1mpg, which for a big old bus really isn't bad (I had a Skoda Kodiaq 190 diesel before and that wasn't much better). I have found anything over 80 and the mpg falls through the floor - if you're going for max mpg cruise at 75 seems the best. Ripping it down a slip road never gets old though - for a big car it really piles the speed on quite well.

Could you expand on the 'refund for the electricity'?
How does this week etc.?

I'm not sure if they're offering this deal any more (from a radio advert it sounds like they've switched to a 'free' install of a charger). In effect the car app is tracking the amount of mileage the car has driven using electric only, they then are applying some sort of logic:
x miles on electric x est. efficiency x a set rate per kWh.
Thanks. I'll check with the dealer when i collect the car.x miles on electric x est. efficiency x a set rate per kWh.
