Volvo DICE query

Evening all

I bought a DICE unit from a seller on eBay (new). When I plug in to the ODBII port and switch ignition to position II, nothing happens. Start the car, still nothing, no led lights at all on the DICE unit. Have tried on a V70 P1 and P3, same.

I have tried it with and without it being plugged into USB on laptop (I think DICE power comes from ODBII but tried it with the laptop anyway). Needless to say I cannot get VIDA to communicate with the unit.

Can anyone confirm for me - should I see some LED activity when plugged into a powered ODBII? Think my DICE is faulty but would like to confirm before returning to seller.

Hi thanks so much for that, appreciated.....looks like my unit is faulty as suspected and seller is not playing ball, has offered me £10 back and suggested I sell it to someone else

I am in Portsmouth but thanks for the offer of borrowing yours. I have got the software up and running I think.....just need a working DICE.

I have an error with the dstc system which causes it to go I to limp mode when you are pulling away from startup. After a few moments you get the abs light and dstc failure message, it then comes out of limp mode. Seems to be an abs ring, abs sensor or a wheel bearing from what I can read on the forums, just wanted vida to tell me which wheel to look at.
