Volvo V60 D4/D3 turbo problem

So a few months ago I had one instance where the turbo of my V60 (2013 D4 157k miles) wouldn't kick in on a dual carriageway for about 3-4 minutes. Very odd and it didn't re-occur... Until tonight. Same stretch of road EXACT same spot as well, no turbo kick in whatsoever, for a few minutes... On the way back it did it again for a very short period of time, so I left it in 4th for the rest of the 15-20 miles on the dual carriageway to see if a good blast would help matters.

To me, it doesn't sound like a physical turbo issue, could it be a sensor? The car has a FSH and is always looked after. It does do a lot of shorter trips, but we live in a hilly area, so the turbo is always working well.

Is there anything I can test? Or is there any common problems?

Just to add, my fuel consumption as never been great (35mpg ish on average). I did think, could a crappy fuel filter cause similar issues? I don't specifically recall seeing an invoice for a fuel filter, although I will check today

Intercooler hoses are common for splitting check them all,, the boost pressure sensor in the intercooler is common for going (look to very bottom hose on your right when looking down at intercooler), as is the map sensor (take engine cover off, front right of engine, held in with a t25 torx).

Only way you will know is by reading the codes.

Thanks! Annoyingly, there have been no engine management lights come on at all, but could it still store a code?
Probably just over thinking, but I have thought I've heard an air leak type noise under load a couple of times...?

I'll get the map sensor out and see if it needs a clean and also check the hoses later.
