850 2.0 to 2.5

Our '94 850 is getting somewhat tired after 180k and the engine is not in such great health anymore. Next year I'll hopefully be getting hold of a T5 but until then i was wondering how easy it would be to change the engine from the 20v 2.0 to the 20v 2.5.

It's 'tired' in the respect that the previous owner wasn't that genned up on looking after cars, so it needs a whole new set of tapets and piston rings. The engine runs find if you ignore the sound of the tapets although that does go away once the oil is fully warm which is usually after 20 minutes of driving. I'm guessing the piston rings are shot as there are large plums of oil coming out the exhaust if the engine is rev'd above 4k. Although it only use around 1 litre of oil per 1200 miles.
