Just ordering some Duplo for the daughter... had a sneeky look at the technic side!

Amazing what they are doing now with the compressors, motors, rc etc - might of ordered a couple smile

So what you got, or am I alone in this?!

Well my weekly bonus has just gone on..... The excavator set! Bought direct from lego and I had £10 off from my VIP points so came in quite cheaply. Got a free spaceman mini-figure too.

Now I just have to tell the wife, and find some time to build them!

All lego instruction sare now available online - some on the lego site, or eurobricks, or brickabkle etc!

Love that tractor... Still got my mog and excavator sat in their boxes unstarted frown

try - http://rebrickable.com/

Basically you enter the model numbers you have and it shows you the other models you can build and what parts you will be missing! There are instructions in there somewhere for nearly everthing.

Glad I am not the only lego nerd here!

Would love to use our daughter as an excuse - maybe I can save them until she is a bit older! My enthusiasm also started with my dad and older brother, we used to love making powered cars that dad had extended the cabling for so we had to run behind after them smile

Looking through the last few sets I have bought and some older gear - there are definately a lot less 'studded and holed' bricks. But a lot of the connectors, gears, wheels etc seem similar if maybe a lot newer.

Is it not just us old boys remembering the good times, and with a bit more imagination all these 'specific' bricks can be made into other models?

You only have to look at some of the super car creations - diablo, enzo, viper that are on the eurobricks site to see what they are being used for.

Also I think a lot of people are rc-ing their models and making all the functions work.

My campervan came today - looks ace, but the wife has taken it for my christmas present frown

A much younger version of me once set in pictures to the lego club magazine of a tank I had built hoping to get it featured in the readers builds.

I got a very nice letter back saying they did not want to build military vehichles but they sent me a nice free soldier keyring

In the same boat - also have a lot of rc cars, planes, boats that are either bought RTR or in kit. Also do a little bit of proper kit modelling.

Lego is a nice simple clean 'toy', and thats all it ever will be to me!

I had forgotten about the tractor puller! Definately going to have to start sifting through my box of bits and downloading all the lost manuals.

Oops a bit of drunk ebaying has landed me a 8880 (black supercar)and 8674 (ferrari 1/8th F1), probably paid too much but never mind will be fun tearing them down, washing them up and rebuilding them.

Also bought 100 x 70mm polystyrene balls, although that might of been the wife as I really cant remember adding those!
