Off to this for the weekend. Hope that some of the modellers here on PH manage to get along.

I'll be on the IPMS Farnborough and the NASA SIG (Special Interest Group) stands.

Just back this afternoon.

I was there for the whole weekend - spending most of my time manning the NASA Special Interest Group stand as the chap who normally runs this was unable to attend due to ill health. Really enjoyed the show - as ever.

Absolutely thrilled with the announcements from Airfix. The sprue shots of their upcoming Swift look absolutely gorgeous.

I am sure I didn't get to see half of what was there.

I bought a few models too - mostly 1/72

Airfix Lunar Module (in a 1980s box)

Hasegawa F4U Corsair (Birdcage box twin pack - for less than 1/2 price)

Belcher Bits - Douglas Thor Missile ( a resin kit - my most exotic purchase)

Sword - Lightning F1

Airfix - old mould Lightning F1 (I will mount this on a stand as a flying model - like I did with the old mould Frog Vampire and old moul;d Airfix Gnat)

Special Hobby - Hispano Buchon in Battle of Britain film markings

Matchbox - Monty's Caravan (1/76)

In 1/144 scale

Revell - Shuttle Orbiter without boosters and tanks. I think I'll build this as a rendition of Columbia siting on the desert floor after its first flight. You hardly ever see models of Shuttles siting on their undercarriage

I spent far more on books than I did on models. I bought the three new Warpaints on the Avro York, the F-84 Thunderstreak/Thunderflash and the F3H Demon as well as Eric Brown's "Wings of the Navy" - plus some others.
