I found a video of the hobby show on you tube earlier and they talked a little about this kit. The time delay in launching it is because they are working hard to get the stressed skin right.
Sounds like it could be something special indeed.

From what people have told me the border models kit is basically a pre production wing nuts one. So there are lots of areas to be careful of in assembly.
I built a border 1/35 Stuka. The surface detail was second to none. The instructions were the absolute worst I have seen on a modern kit. So many errors, the painting call outs were non existent to the point I had to buy the Haynes manual (no help at all) and then guess. Some parts (the bomb assembly) just weren’t in the instructions at all.
I’ll not be buying another border kit anytime soon.
