Good Morning.

I have finally got around to sorting out all of my old RC cars and equipment. Most of it dates from the 80s / 90s. After an afternoon i realised that most of it is absolute rubbish. 15+ years of being stored has not treated the electronics well.

What i did find was two Mardave Marauders and an original spares catalog and price list. I have a few zip lock bags of what i think are Mardave spares but i am only saying this because they were in the Mardave box and 1 bad contains the roll bar / handle that looks like a mardave item.

Does anyone care about Mardave stuff anymore? I had a quick look on ebay but there is hardly anything on there. So in my mind they are either worthless (most likely) or rare as rocking horse poo.

Is there any Mardave love anymore?

Mardave as a company, still exists, although they don't make buggies anymore.

There is a growing following for 'vintage' RC cars in general, and Mardave is one of those brands that us Brits in the hobby get nostalgic about. However, I think what drives the interest in the vintage side of the hobby, is us middle-aged blokes wanting to buy the cars we always dreamed about as kids. With Mardave being one of the most affordable brands at the time, they were attainable then and so not so desirable now.

If you put them on Ebay with no reserve, they will definitely sell, but unfortunately don't expect to get a decent amount for them.
The thing is , i now live in Germany so the postage to any UK ebay winners would not be cheap. It would be a shame to just bin them though so i guess ill create a listing and see if anyone wants them enough to pay the postage.
