Why? I discovered yesterday that this truly pathetic government have complied to their Brussels overlords and agreed that traditional (good) light-bulbs shall forthwith be illegal from today.

You can be prosecuted from Sept 1st if you try to import them.

Now, I need daylight bulbs to enable me to reflect the correct light on the figures that I paint when natural light is not available- especially when trying to represent human flesh. If I paint, using oils, under the yellow gleam of these new, environmental bulbs, the figure's complexion appears sallow- at worst, orange.

Here is an example of a figure I'm currently working on (but not my work): http://www.historexagents.com/shop/hxproductdetail...

As it is, I now have at least ten years of true-light painting ahead. I just hope that by then these manufacturers have produced a good daylight bulb in that time.
