Quick question, did you chaps go for maintained?
No, keeping the payments cheaper.
Only going to need one service & thats quiet cheap.

Maintained only an extra £8 a month on the quote I got. So less than £200 extra over the term. Surely cheaper than a service?
First service is minimal, won't have it for the second one smile

Found this;

Renault Servicing offers for Renault Sport cars
Service Model Offer What's included?
Renault service All From £179*

Applies to vehicles on a two year service regime. Content: engine oil, filter and cabin filter or air filterchange (subject to model specific requirements), safety, computer, battery, levels checks.

Got my car today.

Very, very happy with how it drives. Suspension just perfect, don't find it too crashy at all, very well damped. Standard hifi not as bad as expected and seats really good.

Pretty delighted, and can't wait to get it on a proper blast!

Rob
Is this one of the 280's what condition did it arrive in?
Mate who got his via leasehub deals was not impressed........

Mines due for delivery tomorrow & weather is shocking.
Going to be signing papers unable to assess body condition due to filth.
Lots of photos of car & delivery driver as back up.
Roads near me are covered in deep pot holes so not confident on a car being driven from Reading area to Leics is going to arrive unscathed??

G40Steve - I have got a log in! lol

Yes, I'm another, and the car came in a complete mess. Came from Swindon (Fish Brothers - which is comical as I'm in Grimsby haha!)

Utterly filthy and all muck was vertical - so standing muck. Had as best as look around as I could - and didn't find owt. Stupidly didn't drive it before signing for it - BIG mistake.

1 day and 3 miles later:-

Rattles galore, condensated headlights and rust patch on the exhaust trim. Immediately complained to Leasehub (subsidiary of G2L) and the chap was very apologetic - but told me to take it to the local dealer (who is known to be crap anyway).

Couldn't see the car for 9 days (here we go - I thought).

2 days later, the interior light pod fell down!

Clip was missing and an alarm control box was stuffed between the bracket and roof. Full on bodge job.

Once finally in at the local place, they falled to sort it correctly - wasn't bothered with it - had never seen a Megane RS before... ACE!

They did sort the exhaust and the lights had cleared themselves.

Other rattle is from the B-Pillar Airbag area.

As they couldn't sort the lighting console area out - I have myself, and I'm charging my time back to Renault UK with a full on rant on how naff the experience has been till I sorted it myself. Like a good rant, me!

Now it's almost fully sorted, I can enjoy it.

Race Mode exhaust sound is asbo-funny! Oh, and the engine DRINKS!
Cheers just replied to your pm on CS?

Hoping for a positive experience otherwise moan

Luckily my local Renault garage is on my doorstep & their super tech is a good friend wink

Clarify ‘drinks’?

Oil or fuel?

My Abarth 124 only averaged 26ish, sport mode & flappy manual didn’t help.

Bare with Steve, he's pulling the moss off his car - takes a while.
Funnily no moss!
Taking the driver to train station he got a text to say put car through a wash, I told him we would pass on that.
Condition after 145 miles delivery not bad does need a clean but no dings or scuffs on first look.
One tiny mark on bonnet but that is noted on the yellow sheet that goes to G2L & note about general condition of car on arrival.

Car seems to be rattle free as well mentioned to driver about door pillar he had not noticed anything.
Thought exhaust at the back made a few noises but probably down to me testing race mode on way home, some crazy pops!

Luke. said:
Steve, how's the exhaust compared to the 124?
Not so asbo, on the 124 I wired the value open as it kept rusting up & not freely working.
Meggy more crackles & pops ala RS focus.

That valves bloody annoying. Mines been jammed for ages. Couldn't be bothered getting it fixed after it went the first time. How's the Megane compare for fun/speed with the Abarth?
Early days but, feels very secure on my country roads with surprisingly good ride over rough conditions.
You can feel the extra 110bhp & torque instantly you hit the fast pedal. Seems to be very good package & very ‘sleeper’.
Very good rubber as standard should still be excellent in the wet.

Think as I do that the 208 BPS was harsher?
Yes the ride is way better in meggy, the pug used to be a handful on my roads.

If your worried about a tiny bit of rust on the exhaust exit good job you didn’t get the Abarth deal me & Luke had.
Mine looked like exhaust had been stored in salt water, even so Solvol Autosol cleaned that up at least what you could see.
Anyone tried cleaning the exit area too cold & wet so far for me.
