My current DS7 Crossback is 4 years old in April and has been fantastic.

Today I ordered the new 2022 model DS4 e-tense to replace it. Delivery due in or around March. Really like the looks and styling and being plug in hybrid I feel all green and cuddly.

Funnily enough I listen to smooth chill almost all of the time.

The DS4 will have the scanning suspension, heads up display, adaptive cruise and all sorts of things.

I'll get a charge point installed at home and I'll gladly be sharing impressions when it gets here.

Thats how I drive my DS7 and how I anticipate driving the DS4. I love in North East London and I'm in traffic just about every time I drive anywhere.

I've done the driving on 2 wheels round the lanes some decades ago and now can't be bothered.

I hope the DS4 has as tiny a turning circle as the 7. Makes parking and tight car parks a doddle.

The only criticism of the DS4 I have seen is that it's not ideal for pressing on down the lanes. Not bothered by that. The interior looks particularly splendid.

My DS4 was apparently built on 24 March with delivery scheduled for about 3 weeks time.

From what I gather they have sold 400 DS4s with the majority being fleet sales. They don't have any in the country yet so we are being given a walk away option if we don't like them in the flesh. I've gone for a 225 performance line plus e-tense hybrid. Should be getting the home charger installed before the end of April and DS give a £400 grant towards it.

I saw the pre launch DS9 and it was nice enough but rather bland and expensive. They aren't bothered by UK sales though. Made in China they expect to sell as many a month in China as a whole year in the whole of Europe.

I saw and drove one yesterday. It was a Cross version in Rivaling trim level but had the same running gear as my Performance Line Plus model that is due in this week. Same colour too, Copper Gold.

Loved it. Obviously smaller than my DS7 but felt very very modern. Very happy with my choice and now excited about imminent delivery.

The only difference between cross and other models is a bit of external trim. I've driven an etense cross abd looked at a Rivoli. Didn't think the Cross trim added anything and I'm opting for Performance Line +.

I didn't look closely in the back but the video reviews I've seen suggest it's not bad. I will have 2 child seats from Grandbabies in mine. In the flesh they are really great looking and feel very modern. I'm coming from a DS7 so it's going to be smaller. I like the alcantara trim over the leather.

Last update is mine should be with .e in 2 weeks. My Podpoint charger was fitted this week so I'm good to go!

Well, what a joke. The car has been delivered without the options I ordered. They only bothered to tell me 2 hours before I collect it.

Not acceptable I said so now a new order has to be placed and that won't be through until August, and the colour I want is now not available.

On the point of telling them to shove it.

Thats interesting as its the Comfort pack thats missing, which is power tailgate, adaptive cruise andc360 cameras. The colour is Copper Gold.

I've told them I don't want any othere colour and they have come up with discount on the monthly lease payment of >10% p,us special coating on the paint. Deal done and collecting it this PM.

I had it in my mind that the comfort pack was more extensive thn it is so I'm pleased with the discount which is £2,400 saved over the term.

Standard spec on Performance Line Plus is pretty good to be hnest.

No, it's just a crease line.

Its really quite striking in the flesh. I like the fact that its a stand out colous. My dealer has a demo on in the same colour and I can't understand why its been deleted.

Many many things to play with in the dashboard that I'm just getting around to sorting out.

Hybrids are not normally exempt from the London conjecstion charge. Seems there is a way to lock into electric mode where it reserves some power to make sure you stay electric and there is a light bu the mirror which tells the cameras that it's electric. Not quite got that sussed.

The scanning suspension is fantastic over the forest of sleeping policemen in this borough too.

So far, nothing to complain about at all.

I'm not a massive fan of the leather DS interiors. The performance line plus has this alcantara which I had in my DS7 and it was smart and comfortable for the 4 years I had it.

After 150 miles I'm loving it. Also had a bit of a result. Seems it was only the power tailgate that's missing from the pack I ordered. Its got adaptive cruise and 360 cameras.

I've saved £2500 against an £850 extra and got 2/3 of the options.

There is no self charging at all. There is a tiny amount of regenerative battery top up, but negligible I suspect.

I've done a 26 mile round trip all electric with no concerns at all. Charges from 2% to full in 90 mins via my Podpoint.

Not noticed the foot rest thing, but now I'm going to check! Heading to Germany in ours in 3 weeks. Really looking forwards to it.

My footrest is indeed carpet.

Not noticed an issue with it to be fair.

I'm not too familiar with the Citroën but I absolutly love my DS4

I count myself fortunate to have the copper gold and agree that its a strange move to make the colour choice so limited.

I come to this from a DS7 so I am fully engaged with the brand design ethos. I love bucking the trend of anonymity with so many cars that are available.

You're right, the rear space isn't generous although I have 2 car seats for the grand babies and our 2 spaniels are happy in the boot. We drove to Hanver last summer and the boot was more than adequate for the 2 of us.

Other than the local dealer on a test drive I am yet to see another one, which I love. Everyone that gets in is very impressed indeed.

I have a Performance Line+ e-tense. The published range on electric is rubbish. I charge at home and it tells me 17 Mike range on 100%. That doesn't bother me though as so many of my journeys are short. I've done 500 Mike's in 2023 and not visited a petrol station once.

It's so lovely and relaxing to drive and has a great turning circle.

I love mine and its been faultless.
