Hi,

I usually drive myself to work on a motorbike or in a sports car, f12, 458 speciale - and it does indeed get my heart racing but having got up for the past 25 years at 5.30am to leave the house at 6 and get to work by 7, sometimes I feel downright tired in the mornings and for the first time ever I have been toying with the idea that I would like to get some extra sleep and get driven to work.
I also have 4 kids who are getting to big for the legroom in the back of a 911.
With that in mind, and approaching 50 I decided it may be time to try a Bentley and I have always admired the handbuilt nature and downright luxury of a Mulsanne. Bentley kindly lent me a normal wheel base car which I thought was pretty special but they also had an EWB car in the showroom which quite frankly was the nicest place I have ever sat in a car.
However and here is the rub -for a 17 plate the normal car is 55% of MSRP for a 8mth old car (£155k) the EWB is more like 70%( £230k) - looking for opinions on whether the 25cm is really worth the extra amount?
Also interested in any views of Muslanne owners of their cars. The other thing is I could see myself driving the SWB car occasionally I am not sure I could see myself driving an EWB.

Thanks

Dazzle thanks for your input, I did look at the new phantom, and to be honest I preferred the interior and style of the mulsanne.
I plumped for the ewb over the normal car, it is just a far more special place to sit in the back of. I ended up getting the blue on blue car from hr Owen.
Now the search for a driver begins !
