Bentley Continental GT Battery

I just had my 2007 GT in the garage having work done and it seems the battery had gone flat. Picked up the car and after a short drive couldn't restart the car by button so used the key. So plugged in the charger pack which came with car showed battery empty in the morning it showed full. However same again was ok for a while then could start. Today the car wouldn't come out of 1st gear?? and no gear display on dash, stopped the car restarted and was ok again.. Could this all be linked to the battery being run flat at the garage?? If so which battery do i replace? Any help is appreciated, i hope its not the gearbox!!!

Thank you for the advice. The charger unit i have is the original Bentley one. The car seems to be starting ok now but still getting the faults. I have it booked in with Bentley at Tunbridge this week for a battery check and replace if needed..
