I don’t want to hear “if you can’t afford to run it” type comments, this is a fundamental and £ large change of expectation.

So when I bought the Bentayga none where over 3 years, so a 4th year warranty wasn’t available but my dealer supposed it was similar to the Conti at £3200 - I can live with that.

Well I dropped me coco pops when upon asking for the 2 year deal to be told £8k or £4800 a year.

Why? They don’t know and upon ringing Bentley care they seemed genuinely surprised.i asked for an explanation.

It’s a Car Care plan warranty sold by Bentley so I tried them but they don’t sell direct to user.

Options are -

keep the cash, rely on Bentley goodwill for the next year and cross my fingers.

Get an aftermarket Warranty Direct type thing and expect to be rinsed if I need to claim.

Pay £4800

If I don’t decide before it expires it’s £700 on the £4800 for an inspection.

Right now I’m favouring an AA warranty at £1900 but am I just ripping up cash to gain a false sense of security?

AA warranty is £5k limit per claim, that wont change a UV joint!

Fair enough can’t argue but feel I ripped off. Luckily I got a truly amazing deal on the car and the demand for older ones is so high that I wouldn’t lose so much if I punted it - but I like it and will do a year relying on goodwill and a £5k emergency fund.
Pity this has arisen as I’m really happy with it, even servicing is “reasonable”

If you're confident of outing the car favourably, now may be the time.
I like it though just a bit aggrieved. After this I’m thinking electric next when the new biz can sustain it.

It’s a Q8 underneath (engine apart), I needed to get the tracking checked / done Bentley wanted £890 Audi £150 same machine, same suspension.

The 48v suspension system is hugely complex and unique to the B but it’s also on a Q8 (granted I don’t know the cost of a Q8 extended warranty).

I accept the Bentayga is complex but that shouldn’t be passed on to owners, they should man up and have more consistency.
The warranty is more than any other Bentley model.

When you think about it, though, you don't really want Bentley ownership to be cheap. If it were cheap, the hoi polloi would be driving them.
In the North West they are biggrin loads of them about. Car of choice for the aspiring Z lister apparently.

I’m glad I didn’t get it as it’s not being used, since March I’ve filled it up twice ! Probably used more electric on the trickle charger.

New office is 1.6 miles away so vehicle rethink is on the cards.

You can use aftermarket batteries for the key fob so you dont need to get ripped of with the Bentley ones.
I got a free fob battery with my service. Left in the car with some oil and screen wash.
Changed mine and key died, changed it again as a 2 pack of batteries - totally totally dead. Luckily door was open and the car will start if you put the key in a special place. Memo to self remove the sticker on the battery !!!

I appreciate my car isn't in the same league however brand new it's was £135k. The Porsche Cayenne Turbo warranty is £1800 for 2 years from Porsche.
That's a really good deal compared to Bentley.
Is there anything, anywhere, that isn't a good deal compared to Bentley??
It’s better than that Conti owners get 4th year servicing discount, Bentayga owners are full price with no plans to introduce.
I think I’ll be looking at Audi next as I’m feeling ripped off / milked.

Good Evening All!

A little update here on warranty prices for 2021.

Bentley has just had an overhaul on Warranty pricing for the New Year.

The good news.... Price decrease's across the board.

12-Month Policies:

Bentayga - £3300inc
Continental - £3000inc
Flying Spur - £3300inc
Mulsanne - £4650inc

Please Note: All dealers will require a pre-warranty inspection to be completed if a live Bentley warranty does not currently cover the car.

For any questions contact Matthew @ Bentley Manchester on 01565 632 222
Matt that’s brilliant, you’re my dealer so I’ll be in touch,
I’ve done 230 miles since my service with you think I can swing the inspection?
