Hello from Dubai!

Never posted in here before. I'm a Porsche/BMW/Merc guy of yore.

I've stumbled upon this old girl. Ex Japan, now residing in Dubai. History from Japan is zilch, with a few hefty bills at a Dubai specialist the only meaningful service history.

Haven't been to see it yet.

I'm currently in an E63 Merc. No stranger to a hefty bill, but I also enjoy that it works. Mostly.

Is it wholly unreasonable to expect the Bentley to do the same? I do about a 50 mile a day commute through the desert. Temps reach 50 degrees in summer and never fall below 15 in winter. Good for rust, bad for the AC compressor / cooling / everything that's plastic and rubber.

Interested to hear your thoughts and experiences.

Thanks!

Thanks guys. Useful feedback.

Sounds like I need a later car to ensure the kinks are ironed out.

Ice cold AC is a must - I had a Raptor before the Merc and (incredibly) it’s AC was barely sufficient. Being a Scotsman in the desert, I need an artic blast from my HVAC.

Also I think there’s a very good reason why it’s 8k ‘8k too cheap’. There ain’t nothin for nothin, as they say.
