Turning up the wick...

Hi, I've bought a 2010 plate Cooper S and want to look into upgrading/chipping the engine management system to get some more BHP. I've had TVR's in the past and enjoyed the performance but I'm equally as impressed with the speediness and handling of the Mini.

Does anyone have any experience turning up the wick on the Cooper S? Who to speak to, what to look out for etc?
