Anyone specced a new Mini lately?

We need a runabout for the business and it's a toss-up between a Fiat 500 and a Mini. Given that there will be some longer runs a Mini seems most sensible.

I've been speaking to Mini and using the (not very good) configurator and it appears that what Mini really wants us to have is a Cooper with a pack on it and some finance. However, that takes the car to near £20k.

The basic One is okay as far as I can see and if you add some of the cheaper option wheels it looks okay too. it works out a chunk cheaper.

The finance on a One is at a higher rate than a Cooper so we might look at buying cash.



Any reason why we'd want to go Cooper?

Do you think? Surely a Mini of a certain age will sell no matter what?
