Automatic gearbox 2018 Mini
Discussion
We ran a 2015 Mini Cooper S for 3 years and liked it enough to trade in for a new one. The only significant difference between the models is that the new one has a 7 speed twin clutch automatic box. However the characteristics of the cars are very different. In Mid mode the new one is sluggish. To me it feels like turbo lag. The dealer insists all is Okay but I’m having to drive in Sport to get any meaningful performance. But Sport is too 'on' and simply wrong in city traffic.
The new car 'adapts' to your driving style apparently.
It hasn’t taken the hint that I want it to be more responsive.
Any thoughts?
