I rallied this in the eighties.....fun but not competitive as the running gear was standard 1600 x flow -

yep that was Albermarle...for those that don't know, it is to the west of Newcastle, north of the A69 (on the Military Road) still in MOD hands, very few events there these days..

I sold the Piper on some 25 years ago....no idea what happened to it. I was a member of the Piper Club at the time and did tell the purchaser about the club.

While I had mine I also knew of a late car being built in Yarm by someone - don't think it had been registered at the time....he fitted a BDA engine, so will have been quite quick!!. metalic green I think? not sure if he ever finished it. But looked great - perfectionist stuff, everything polished.

It was yellow when I purchased it.

While in my possession I took it to the Piper Club and they sorted the sagging rear chassis - a common fault I believe.
