Irish Hurling on Sky sports
Discussion
A few of us have been saying for years that Sky were eventually going to start buying up rights to show Hurling.
Well it's started. On Sky sports 3 now.
If you've never seen a game of Hurling you might want to take a quick gander.
Fantastic game and this opener features Kilkenny who always seem to make it look like they have an extra man on the pitch.
Enjoy.

Now to figure out some of the rules!
Essentially, Rule 1 - You can't pick the ball up off ground or carry it in your hand.
Rule 2 - You score by getting the ball between the opponents posts, 1 point above the bar, 3 points below.
Rule 3 - There is no Rule 3.
Yeah, I know it is a little bit more complicated than that - but it really is a Paddy 'n' Murphy game in terms of rules, the skill level on the other hand is astonishing.
Little Ex is playing the game and a while back at a training session I was messing about with one of the seniors/coaches, over about 40 to 50 metres (not even half pitch width) he could hit the ball to me and it would practically land in my hand.
An amazing game to watch, with a massive skill level.
