Oi oi.
we'd have had you no problem.
Yorks for CCC champs this year....
to be fair I expected notts to roll us over looking at their batting line up but we saw it through quite comfortably in the end.
the fact that no effort was made to get the game on given your decimated squad for the game suggests not! funny how headingley was ready for the notts game now coad and brooks were fit!we'd have had you no problem.

Keep living up to your "whinging southerner" image, mate.
But, funny how when asked mr deniston admitted (and they had publically mentioned it before) that the outfield could be an issue a couple of weeks before the game (hence the UCCE game cancelled) but couldnt answer why no provision was made to the ecb to move the game to essex (swap home/away games), or another fit ground (despite scarbados being the current only other First class ground in the county, local public schools were playing that weekend and could have been put on standby as could out of county grounds as worcs have done in the past))...still no point essex complaining to the ecb, given the ecb is graves (who doesnt like us as we are one of the few who try to stand up to him), and graves is yorkshire (well technically not, but he still needs those loans repaid! - incidentally a very odd and suspicious setup especially given that debt and the fact headingley has been given full quota of tests in the next cycle...you wonder why notts haven't asked question about that given the oversight of test at trent bridge, hush money anyone!)
im not bitter though!!
also they got a game on in wetter manchester, and made no effort at all per those at the ground, and wont admit the rugby stand development has blocked drains. which it clearly has.
anthony mcgrath would take issue with being called a whingeing southerner as would big ron!
