training after inguinal hernia diagnosis?
Discussion
so.....
judging by how common this is i'm guessing a fair few pistonheaders have experienced this... i've gone and done it over the weekend but didn't really realise what it was until tuesday afternoon ( after 12 rounds of boxing pads i seemed to get through without much stress on the groin area)...
anyway, been to the quacks and had it confirmed...told surgery is the only option but the wait will be very long due to covid etc ...i'm looking at having to live with it for around 6 to 9 months before getting the operation...
anybody else managed to carry on training with a hernia? do those hernia truss support belts work?
i'd be interested in hearing peoples experiences and how/if they have adapted training to accommodate the injury and reduce the chances of continually popping it out when exercising.. thanks in advance!

cheers for the response pal, i'd not considered private to speed things up will look into that... yeah, the response from the doctor was something similar...rather non committal whereas i had expected a DO NOT do a b c but DO perform x y z to alleviate symptoms...
suppose , like you say, just cautiously ease into things and see how it goes....

If you're considering a private op, this place looks pretty good:

I don't suppose it's local to you, but the website is full of useful info.
