It's been a while since I've seen England play this poorly, hopefully Jones can hand out a few braincells at half time.

That really was a terrible, braindead performance.

There's no way any team can win when it's either giving away penalties or possession.

We deserved to lose by 20+ points, not 5

I know how you feel yes
Me too, it might finally wake people up to us using our considerable talent to do something other than kick away possession.

eta, it's more than that, it's making the players believe that they should think for themselves and getting them to use all of their braincells.

England are going to absolutely hump us on Saturday. Mark my words.

It could be a 20pt+ loss if England can finally click.
I'm sure it'll be England that lose by 20 points, and if we carry on like we have been playing, far more than that.

I'm glad we lost, it's a shame that it wasn't by more, and it's a shame that the ref and TMO were worse than we were, but maybe we might, just might start to engage our brains.

Mistakes aside, he was just very whistle-happy overall, which prevented decent multi-phase rugby.

We all have bad days at the office, but that was one he'll want to forget.
England prevented multi-phase Rugby. Wales played to the refs favour by learning what he was going to penalise. England didn't.
England did indeed continue to demonstrate that Eddie has removed most of their brains before they're allowed in the team. Perhaps that's why he doesn't want to bring in much new blood.

It makes too much sense to have someone who plays FB for his club to play there hence why Jones won't do it. There aren't really many English qualified specialist 15's I can think of. Mike Brown is probably still the best in the prem IMO.
Whilst he's still good, some changes are needed for the next world cup, and MB is one of the obvious ones that won't still be at their best by then.

Well that was entertaining for the neutral. England looked really good for 15 mins, but when France started playing and put on some pressure the penalties started again. The French look so slick with ball in hand though, can’t see past them.
We'd be better off not kicking it straight down their throats when there's so much open space.

England finally remember how to play the game.

I really enjoyed that, decent contest all the way through.

Furlong's sidestepping was excellent.

The rest of the match was very entertaining as a neutral.

Time to take it back to 5 natiions?
I don't want that to happen, but unless Italy show some improvement over the next couple of seasons it probably should.

It's bizarre, we played ok last weekend and deserved the win, but this week we're back to doing stupid repeatedly.

We should have worked out very early that the ref is a bit of a stickler and learnt from it.

It's not been my best ever forecast. Wales played much better than they did in the autumn, well done them. I'm embarrassed that England have played so poorly. It's that so much of what we do is braindead that I struggle with.

I'd rather they only allowed two subs to be used, that way everyone starting would be expected to last the game.
