Instead stop this conceit that they can rest players or worse that players can pick and choose. Test cricket ought to be the pinnacle. Only injury ought to prevent the best team being picked, especially for one of the top ranked Test team in the world.

On 6th (reserve) day, india batting (with NZ still to have their second innings) ,are 6 down and only 111 ahead, so could still be an interesting day
