So if it gets so busy that only 6:30am is a useful arrival time for avoiding queues and getting a bacon butty, will you berate those who arrive at 7:30 for being a bunch of layabout ne'r-do-wells?

I left Weybridge at 8:30. I wouldn't expect plain sailing but neither would I expect the complete st fight I found when I arrived. Something had definitely gone wrong with the parking arrangements too. All we had to do was fill a field up which I've parked in plenty of times before but for some reason that was going at a 1 in 1 out rate and was poorly arranged once we were in.

If I eat before hand because it's the only practical way of enjoying the event, why the fk call it "Breakfast club"? The clue is the name.

Charge for it and make it workable, if need be. I'd have coughed a tenner entry for a more workable experience. As it was, I couldn't wait to get out.
Agreed. We left Newlands Corner at 7.40 and got to Goodwood ( well, 1.3 miles from ) at around 8.30-8.40. We parked up at about 10.15. So I guess someone decided to open the gate to another field, which had about 50 cars in when we arrived.

I like going to Goodwood, and yes it's free. But 90 minutes for just over a mile is insane, especially when there is plenty of available parking if Dave the Gate pulled his finger out. Common sense needed by Goodwood staff.
Hi DamienmkV -

I agree - 2 miles in about an hour was a joke, trying to buy food was also a test of patience
I will be arriving earlier next time, or I have an idea _ i will stay down overnight - have a good sleep and then drive down the hill instead :-)

Didn't see you at Newlands - What were you driving?

I was there but had to park about 15minutes walk from the grid . It was so busy , I saw guy from hwm and a couple of other people I know . It was so busy I didn't really hand around long .
Shame we missed you - maybe next time :-)
