Goodwood volunteers and marshals

I've fancied going to Goodwood FOS for quite a while. I know they take volunteers and also have their own marshals club. Before I approach them directly, does anyone here already marshal or volunteer? If so, how do you find it?

I have seen from the website about stewards but I would be more interested in track or pit marshalling. Their setup looks a bit different from the likes of Donington and Silverstone though, so I thought I would ask if anyone on here does it.

It might be worth contacting them to see if they need more help (which is quite likely)

volunteers at FOS have to pay the ticket price as a deposit, marshall for 1/2 a day and have the rest of the day free. your deposit is returned afterwards.
be cautious if you're hoping to see everything, because as a volunteer marshall you could end up directing traffic in a carpark. there are appeals for volunteers every year.

I had seen the thing about having to pay for tickets up front and then requesting a refund. Is that for track marshals too?

Thanks for all the replies. I am.a BMMC and MSA member already. I have contacted the Goodwood Marshals club to ask if they take Marshals from elsewhere. Haven't had a response as yet but these things can take time.
